56 Leonard

Designing a luxury complex where no two floors are the same was a bold and arduous venture.

Tapping into the digital age for inspiration and pushing the limits of modern construction, Herzog & de Meuron shape “pixels” into an iconic Tribeca residential high-rise.

Cantilevered slabs that are increasingly offset give the individual residences at 56 Leonard a unique identity within the overall stack, while maintaining a sense of cohesiveness throughout the structure. The varying scale of the building’s components is also representative of the neighborhood’s diverse skyline.
