The Grace Building

Signature curves and contrasting dark grid of windows against the bright limestone landed the Grace Building into the list of Midtown’s iconic landmarks.

The W. R. Grace Building at 1114 Avenue of the Americas may bare some resemblance to its sleeker counterpart, the Solow Building, located just 14 blocks north and completed in the same year. This is no coincidence as both were designed by the same firm, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The Grace Building allowed SOM to execute on their original design intended for the Solow Building.
