One World Trade

Recently I had an opportunity to photograph one of the most recognized New York landmarks, the Freedom Tower. This time, however, I opted for a different perspective from what I’m used to. So I made the schlep from Brooklyn all the way to Colgate Center in New Jersey, which (if you’re from New York you know) is about as rare as witnessing a full solar eclipse. This obelisk-like structure is the final of several renditions by David Childs of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill whom the developer, Silverstein Properties, engaged for this high-profile assignment.
